Frozen Gammarus shrimp have a lot of air between them due to their structure. This makes them particularly susceptible to temperature fluctuations. To ensure premium quality and the cold chain, the following applies to our shipping:

​📦 MINIMUM WEIGHT: 1 KG

We only ship frozen food in quantities of 1 kg or more. (This corresponds, for example, to two 500g tablets of Gammarus or a combination with other 100g tablets from our range).

Why we insist on the minimum weight:

Thermal protection: A package containing less than 1 kg does not have sufficient internal cooling capacity. The goods would thaw before they arrive.

Maintaining feed integrity: Only continuous deep freezing keeps the freshwater shrimp crisp and nutrient-rich.

Responsibility: We deliver high-quality feed. To live up to this promise, we only ship quantities that allow for safe temperature-controlled transport.

Feeding recommendation:

Thaw the required amount of gammarus in a container of water, or place the frozen pieces directly into the pond or aquarium. Turtles especially love to chase the crustaceans from the water's surface!
